About Artist
Susan Bolos began painting in watercolor at the end of 1992 and as a self-taught painter began teaching beginning and intermediate watercolor classes. Teaching helped increase her skills and over the years Susan became a very versatile painter.
She started her art business, "Susan Bolos Art", in 1996 with a one-person show and from then on had yearly sales at her home. She started "Just for the Season Gallery" a seasonal gallery that ran from October to January for 4 years in various locations. After the seasonal gallery experience Susan opened "Just for the Season Gallery" as a fulltime gallery that she ran for 10 years closing in 2016.
For years Susan participated in indoor and outdoor art sales and festivals in the Twin Cities such as, "Stone Arch", "Powderhorn"," Loring Park Festival", and including the "Autumn Winds Studio Tour" from the cabin on Sturgeon Lake.
Susan is a member of the Lake Superior Watercolor Society and was a member of the Arrowhead art club, MNArtists.org, MN watercolor society, and other small painting groups. In member shows she won awards for her work in beginning, intermediate, and professional categories.
From her last gallery's location she sold work which has been placed in private collections around the US and the world. Locally you may find Susan's paintings hanging in Essentia Health Buildings.
Susan is available for commission work.
